So, in order to write 50k, I have to write 1666.67 words/day. Today, I’m at 1781…my secret to success today: getting up at 3:30 (in case I needed extra time today to meet my goal) and having chocolate for breakfast (note to any of my under-18 readers: Don’t do that. Chocolate for breakfast is just craziness…yummy, gooey, milk—uh, wait, I’m trying to tell you NOT to do that, right?)…

I managed to make it to 2100 words, although this is now officially the second day. It's going surprisingly well, and I'm already feeling the flow a bit more than normal, since I'm pushing to just get words down rather than hyper-analyzing anything that might come out of my head. I think the biggest challenge is just going to be trying to silence the inner saboteur that will try and tell me that my writing is sub-par and that the final product won't be good... because really any first draft takes work to bring to a high level, but still contains some gems :-)
