NaNoWriMo: Day 10

Goal met.

For whatever reason, I found today easier to get the goal done than yesterday--maybe because I only have the EWG meeting today and no other appointments?

I'd like to do a bit more than goal (1667) today...I was doing pretty good with 2000, then dropped...which is fine, but on the stats page, I went from being able to finish on Nov. 24th to Nov. 25th...why does the possibility of having that extra day drive me?

On the one hand, I want to be done so badly. There's SUCH a rush at looking at the word count and thinking, "I did that!" On the other hand, I want to take my time and enjoy the process...

What about you guys? Anyone else having issues with the destination versus the journey?

  1. Destination and journey are fine. I've written 15356 words since Nov. 1, not including hand written stuff. I'm going to write a bit more today given that I am at home recovering from a bad bout of breathing difficulty.

  2. Chris, did you want to increase your month's goal? You had 11k, but have already exceeded it (GREAT JOB!!)...

  3. Chris, breathing is overrated. Think how much you'd get done if you didn't have to worry about it. Well, okay probably not much, but I'm sure some efficiency expert somewhere has thought about it.

Nice to see you've joined us on the blog by the way!

I'm falling a bit behind today, as I started cooking and lost track of time. But I have a couple of hours after the meeting so we'll see what happens by then.

  4. Well I only managed to beat 1543 out today. Not as much as hoped, but then again I did get the cooking done that I mentioned above.

Going to hit it hard tomorrow, and beat this number by a whole lot (I hope).

    Currently sitting at:

    **** Day 10 **** +1543 = 16443 ****
