Fiction Fix. Online submission deadline: March 5, 2012

Fiction Fix seeks works of graphic literature, sequential art, and any other combination of image + text for our Spring 2012 issue, guest edited by Russell Turney. All works submitted are considered for Editor's and Readers' choice awards, qualifying recipients of which are nominated for inclusion in the Best American Comics, and other awards. www.fictionfix.net

War Veterans Anthology

Writer and editor Henry F. Tonn is calling for submissions for a veterans of war anthology. Fiction, nonfiction, and poetry are requested from war veterans, their family and friends. Experiences from any war are permitted, including work from veterans of foreign countries. All work must be in English. The book will be perfectly bound and hard copy. Call for Submissions for a forthcoming anthology of erotic religious poetry. Seeking embodied, incarnate, beautiful poems that speak somehow of encounters with the Divine, however perceived, from within or without any faith tradition, or none. Hippocampus Magazine. Online submission deadline: April 15, 2012

In July 2012, our online magazine will turn into a mix tape of sorts, belting out originals from an array of wordsmiths. Hippocampus Magazine invites you to share your music-inspired creative nonfiction (up to 3,500 words) in our first theme issue. We’ll pick eight to ten tracks—er, stories—that we think will strike a chord with our audience and then we will produce what we hope will be a platinum collection of creative nonfiction.
