Anyone know how to transfer music from an iPod to a laptop (PC) that doesn’t involve me taking a computer science class, downloading dodgy software, or completing a billion different steps?
Our philosophy is simple: fun and work, humour and support. We write all genres and in all styles and support each other by providing encouragement and helping each other develop thick skins in the face of industry rejections. We understand that as writers we must do the majority of the work ourselves and we embrace this by giving honest critiques mixed with gentle grace and lots of humour.
That's a tricky one, Natasha. If there were an easy solution Apple would jump on it fairly quickly, I'm guessing. Part of their rule-the-world-control-everything mentality. Older ones on older software could do it, but that doesn't help I'm afraid :(
ReplyDeleteNatasha, try this: http://www.getsharepod.com/
ReplyDeleteIts fairly straightforward software that dumps the musical contents of the iPod into a folder of your choice. As to the dodgy-ness of the software, I can vouch that it has not impacted my computer in the times I have used it.
If you have an older model of iPod, I recommend installing Rockbox on your iPod: http://www.rockbox.org/
It is an excellent alternative to using iTunes.
