A local BC publisher is campaigning to try and raise the pay rate for her contributors from semi-pro to pro.
It's a fantastic cause, and for donating you not only get a copy of the book with acknowledgement, but you can score copies of their great back-catalogue (I'd recommend the Defining Diana trilogy).
