The Grandma Archives is a show and tell where people submit stories and objects related to grandmas, or grandma figures. The stories can be an oral history interview or a memoir, and can be in written, video or audio form. The stories can be based around an object or refer to an object related to the grandma– this could be anything from a photograph, a recipe, an heirloom, a book, or even a piece of art that the grandchild has created.
The objective is to create a collection of stories that honour Edmonton’s diverse women who normally wouldn’t make it into the history books, and our everyday artefacts. I’d invite you to take a look at the website at thegrandmaarchive.com.
