Appologies in advance...

but if you need a 5 minute break, then this is a great one page article to read.  Warning:  it is about writing technique.  But I just read it and it spoke to me.  okay, enough procrastinating.  Time to write.


  1. 12,500, but I feel I'm cheating. I'm editing, not writing and I'm going through chapters fixing problems noted on a previous pass, with long gaps in between the notes. But I don't know how else to measure my progress.

    Simon, the EWG November writing challenge isnt' the same as NaNoWriMo. I think if you're being consistent with your edits and writing in general, then you're not cheating but meeting your goal. :)
