NaNoWriMo: Day 21

Nine days left and counting down. I'm SSSSSSSSOOOOOOO impressed with everyone. We've all buckled down, made the time, and done the word. Special award goes to Simon who blazed past his goal! Way to go!!

I have to say as much as I'm looking forward to December and taking the writing at a human pace, I'm going to be really sad to see the cheering for each other end...it's been so much fun to hop on the blog and check in with everyone, to read your journeys, and laugh/gnash teeth/groan/cheer along with you.

So crazy to think we have just over a week to go...this story is kicking my butt--more valleys than mountain vistas, but to the evil editor in my head, I say:

  1. And for something totally off topic, but proof that writing is hilariously everywhere: http://natashadeen.blogspot.com/2011/11/blog-post.html

  3. Thanks--but I gotta say the writing was a team effort. There were SO many times I didn't want to do any of it, but then I'd come on here, and there was everyone, saying they felt just as resistant, but they were doing it...made me feel like, man, if my friends are going for it, I should, too. (Thank goodness my friends have never decided to jump off a bridge :P)...

I'm really glad to have reached the goal. To celebrate, I went to Milestone's with a friend and had this super yummy Cajun Shrimp Diane (or some such)...now, it's a bit of work, then taking the rest of the night off...Columbo: Prescription Murder, anyone? :{P

  4. I agree that the team effort has been great, but I'm not sure what else to say right now as I'm fighting pirates right now. Back later!

  5. Congratulations everyone! For myself, I discovered that an Ollie scholar on a Yahoo group I belong to devoted to the old gal would love to give me a beta read, so that's fabulous.

All beta eyes are wonderful, but his will catch super-important problems with conflicts in dates, movie studios, supporting characters, and other minutiae only an Olive Thomas fanatic could catch.

Cajun Shrimp Diane? I must sample this wondrous delicacy. So glad they've opened a Milestones in the West End, as I don't get to the common that often.

    :D

  6. As the sun sinks slowly in the west, well okay it already sank quite a few hours ago, but you get the idea. I've put in another long day at this thing, and it seems to have paid off.

Now it is time to let me head sink onto a certain pillow.

    Have a good night people.
