Because of the soldier's sacrifice, I live
in a country where I can worship who I want, worship if I want, I have access to education and hospitals, I don't enter stores through a special door, I don't have to shroud my head and face (unless I want to)...I can love who I want, live how I want, and determine the destiny I see fit.
Thank you for the sacrifice, the long days, the lonely nights away from your families. Thank you for fighting so I don't have to. Thank you for standing in the breach and holding strong.
I remember. I will always remember.
